Our stylists, some of whom are National Competition Award Winners, continue their education through industry held seminars and annual grooming conferences. We groom all breeds of dogs and cats. All done according to the AKC breed standard. We specialize in hand scissoring and also offer show grooming as well.

Meet, Tammy Siert

Tammy Siert started working at the Velvet Touch in 1990 while attending a local college studying foreign languages. She quickly fell in love with the art of grooming and started to assist and apprentice to become a full time groomer. Tammy started to compete at grooming competitions around the country winning many awards but retired to start a family and after years out of the competitive ring she decided to take another shot at it. Eventually making GroomTeam USA and working as a Global Educator for Andis Company, she now teaches and judges all around the world. “The Velvet Touch has always held a special place in my heart and I will be forever grateful to Tim for showing me his passion and love for dogs. Who would have known the day I walked in to help answer phones, I would have this amazing career as a pet stylist”.
